The inspiration for Tiny Treasures came from an Ethiopian tribe called Dassanach, who relied on agriculture for their subsistence. Due to extreme drought the tribe was uprooted and began to hunt crocodiles as a food source.

The tribe collects shiny objects wherever they can be found; mostly bottle caps, bolts and screws. They adorn themselves with this newly created jewelry at important functions and for beautification, which is a testimonial to their creativity. That’s why she is called Tiny Treasures.
